  1. I'm a big fan of the haiku. I love to write them. I love to read them. I love to teach them. So, I was already all in when I saw what it was, but the pairing of yours words with the image is lovely. I have definitely felt that before while walking in the rain. Like, I'm so acutely unhappy that I feel as if I'll never be dry and comfortable again. Heh. I love where you took this, Kimberly.

  2. You can literally feel the rain and ice sliding down her spine ... it actually made me shiver. Great job.

  4. Love this, especially paired with the picture. Brings back memories of many a chilly day when I couldn't wait to get inside and have a cup of hot chocolate. Great job!

  5. Thank you all for your comments. I originally had a story involving both pictures, but the haiku definitely had better punch.

  7. Lovely! Haiku is tough. You capture the essence of the moment and relate it to an experience we've all had, which is the name of the game.

  8. Love what you did with this, Kim! the simplicity of the Haiku form is so deceiving. You handled the picture with grace. :)
